Series: Chatsworth
A continuation of the Antoinette series, Chatsworth examines our relationship to food, opulence and the eccentricities, nuances, and rituals related to our preparation and consumption of both. When I first moved to England I lived on the edge of Sheffield in the Peak District. Coming from Canada I was fascinated with the history in the surrounding area. I visited Chatsworth House on a number of occasions where these paintings emerged. The images are taken from the large dining room hall, a small bedroom, and the sitting area (with the red sofa) in the sculpture gallery.
